Member of the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce
Charter member, past-Director of Public Image of Rotary Club of Comox Valley.

“I help businesses do more, look better, so as to be more effective and serve more customers. This approach allows me to use the skills I possess for long term, cascading success for everybody who is affected by the empowerment I’ve given, or have helped give, be it a client or a local non-profit. To me, it’s just a logical use of my skills.”

Kris’s career has spanned the gamut, holding positions of senior-level front-end developer, print designer, creative director and project manager before adding business owner to that list. Kris first started out briefly in the print industry but after several years, moved into the flashier world of online development. The skills picked up in these industries, the exposure to these different positions all culminated into what turned out to be a spectacular toolbox from which Kris was able to start HPX Media. The experience and knowledge Kris gained in the various industries makes it possible for HPX Media to offer an array or related services, which Kris believes is paramount to the consistency for any business looking to build their brand.

Kris believes in community and giving back. Kris regularly donates her talents to various Comox Valley nonprofit organizations and currently sits on the Comox Valley Community Foundation board. In the past, Kris has sat on several boards including Young Professionals Comox Valley, the Comox Valley Women in Business, Comox Valley Rotary Club, 60 Minutes Toastmasters. Through HPX Media, she supports various local charities like Y.A.N.A. and Rotary through event sponsorship, and a portion of each sale goes to a local charity, from which the Comox Valley Transition Society, Dawn to Dawn have benefitted.

When Kris isn’t pushing pixels, she is a regular on the badminton court and enjoys more hobbies than she has time for including: hiking, paddleboarding and mountain biking. She has also written a sci-fi novel called TimeShift. For more information on the book, visit timeshift-novel.com.
